Is this a 205GTi Front Subframe?

As the title, can anyone confirm if this is a Gti front subframe? I stuck it on fleabay as I wanted to get rid of it, but somebody has questioned if it is a Gti or not - I've had it kicking around for years and I was pretty sure I removed it from a 1.6, but now I am not so sure.

Thank you

Ashley

yes, it has the rear mounting points for the wishbone, a base model TCA type subframe only has the front points due to using the arb for fore/aft location.

there may have been some confusion from the purchaser because yours is a 1.9GTi subframe

they only came on the 1.9GTi and the Turbo Diesel

if it came off a 1.6l model the car would not have come from the factory like that

 nice and grimey too

Your confused Lad, that  subframe was fitted to both engine sizes of GTi and some of the turbo diesels and is definetly a GTi type and could well be the original factory fit on a 1.6.

It's the CTI that had the standard subframe.

Nope, we only ever got the 1.9L GTi. We did get a monopoint 1.6L called an Si however, which has a single lower control arm.

Any 1.6 with a carb or monopoint injection had the standard subframe, that's true even for the spanish GTX with the 94hp Talbot engine.
