Sunroof lubrication

Recommended Posts

Is there anything I can put into the sunroof channels to help it slide backwards and forwards more easily? I thought about grease but then it would probably make a mess and I've got some silicone spray somewhere if that's any good?

Thanks!

I was wondering this earlier, but being honest just making sure they are clean is a big help and transformed the 'slide' on the factory sunroof on my 309.

I do use silicon spray on my garage roller door on the advice of the supplier, but I cant help but think it is going to attract and hold dust/dirt.

Look for some ptfe dry lube spray. Interflon Fin is one. I’m usually skeptical about snake oil potions but after a rep came to work a while ago and more importantly gave me a small can to try this is decent stuff and I’d buy some more when I run out.
