Hi - any tips on removing external door Handle and lock barrel? How do you disconnect the rods? Thanks

You need to remove the doorcard & work inside the door, the lock barrel is held in by a sliding clip & the handle by a 10mm nut iirc.

The rods will unclip / unhook as you turn the lock barrel & door handle once they are free.

Hi - thanks,I’ve got that far - just seems tricky unclipping the rods? I’ll try turning the key in the barrel later.

If you pull the barrel clear of the door (as far as you can) & rotate it, you should be able to see the rod & unclip it from the plastic clip on the back of the barrel.

They are only clipped loosely into it, with the barrel clip turned through 90' from it's usual position, there is a gap in the plastic that allows you to remove the rod.

Got the handles off! Long nose pliers to pull the rod out.
