Dash lights - what's on with ignition?

Recommended Posts

Simes

Well finally started to work through a niggle list.

When just the ignition is on remind me which dash lights are on.

Battery

Handbrake - if on

Any others?

Trying to see which bulbs may heed replacing.

Brill, I had a distant memory of the stop light. Mines not working!

Looks like oil pressure and hot water too.

STOP is oil pressure, will go out when engine starts and makes pressure... shouldn't be any water temp light.

That’s what I thought to test systems.

Funny that even after owning a GTI continuously for 20 years I don’t know. It’s reassuring we’re all in the same boat!

ignition only not engine running is what I need to know.

thanks!

After a search it could be a faulty oil pressure switch.
