Brake upgrade for 1.9

I believe a sensible brake upgrade for a 1.9 205 is to fit 306 gti 6 brakes and a slightly larger master cylinder.

Does anyone have some definitive part numbers etc. What masteylinder is required and does it have four outlets to suit the 205 ? One other thing what pads bearing in mind I want to upgrade rear pads at same time.

Not really, if the standard brakes are working properly with decent discs, pads & all the calipers are in good condition (no seized sliders)  then for a 205 GTI that even see's occasional track use, the standard stuff is good enough imo.

 

The rear brakes do very little so there's even less point spending money there on uprated pads.

 

A decent upgrade for front pads is the DS2500.

Have a read through This topic for more options if you really want to fit the GTi-6 brakes & larger master cylinder but i don't think it's all strictly necessary on the 205 GTI.
