No Spark on spark plugs

Hey am new and from Nairobi Kenya. I Have  205 gti 1.6 xu. When I crank the engine it does not start . Later I discovered there was no spark on the plugs

check for power and earth to the coil with the ignition on, check the fly lead from distributor to ignition amplifier, notably the pins in the plugs.

 

check the condition of rotor and cap.

 

check if you get spark on the king lead with a spark plug earthed to bypass the cap and rotor.

It could be many different things, start by checking the signal wire from the distributor.
