1989 1.1 engine misfire?

Hi all thank you for reading, i have rebuilt a 1989 1.1 look which had been off the road for about 10 years and the engine doesn't seem to be running right. It starts first time but just doesn't sound right and was low on power, i adjusted the valve clearances again and it is a bit better but still not right, all plugs have sparks. Can anyone tell by ear or at least give any advice on common problems i may have overlooked. Thank you
