Front hub castings

Searched everywhere for this but cant find an answer.... Are 1.9 hubs physically the same size as 1.6 ones or is the bearing housing larger. In other words can the 1.6 hub be bored out to take the 1.9 bearing. Thanks

No you can’t do what you suggest.

I think there is a way to use 1.9 splined cv's in the smaller o.d hub carriers.

 

fit later 106/saxo bearings and use be conversion flanges.
