Original caliper colour

[DSYKES5500 22]

Does anyone know what colour the GTI calipers were out of the factory? Were they plain silver or a light metallic gold colour?

Yellow passivate plated is what they were. They don’t really look right in gold paint imo.

Thanks Tom, I thought they were. I've scoured all my brochures and books and the wheels are either spinning or pointing the wrong way!  Agreed, gold paint wouldn't look right. My first GTI was only a few years old and I was sure they were gold but time has got me questioning myself (daily!).
