upgrade engine help :)

Hello.
Do you have any suggestions for further tuning on my engine?
The engine block is 1.6 B6D 117hp.
The engine head is 1.9 122 hp DKZ
Camshaft 1.9 130hp.
The complete installation of the engine is 1.9 122 hp MOTRONIC
Maybe it's getting from a car of installations to abolish a higher air intake airflower?
I'm not really the best in English, but I'm working hard with the help of an interpreter.

Usually , you'll get answers on this question like so : want more power ? - fit 16V ! .. or 2.0T maybe .

I have tuned 1.9 8v , if you wish i can share some stuff you can try . ( and as a bonus i can speak our language )

Not if they are in Banja Luka, you need two 16Vs there

.. guess meeting with his neighbour Nick (if he didn't meet him by now ?!) , can and possibly will escalate to some "heavy metal" stuff ! :P

you say the block is B6D, does that include crank and pistons?

if so, then add 1.9 crank and rods, swap 1.6 pistons over, add longer duration camshaft, get ecu mapped, or add throttle bodies..

Yes, but I do not want 16v in 205 and 2.0 TCT I already had in it and my piston was broken.
What are the specifications of your engine? Thanks!

I had never met with Nikica, and we were chatting through the facebook network.

That the complete engine block is the B6D with pistons and everything else.
The head of the engine is 1.9 122 hp with a camshaft of 1.9 130 hp.
The processor was remap at 7200rpm.

In this car, this is currently the eighth engine. It was 1.4 TU3S in chassis. Before the GTI engine was 2.0 TCT XU10J2TE, the third piston was burnt out of too much fuel. Now I have compiled this engine that I mentioned earlier, but I'm wondering if I can get even more power without being a piper cam or an ITB?

I based mine first on making good cylinder head , so picked 1.9 D6B head ported with multi angle seats , did some porting job on the TB and the manifold too . Block base also 1.9 D6B fully rebuilt , with higher compression pistons from 1.9 DFZ engine with which the engine was around 11.1 CR dynamic . Standard 1.9 D6B camshaft .

It was on Jetronic management but with reworked distributor advance , fuel pressure raised 0.5-0.8Bar with an adjustable reg. , and engine properly set up (fuelling via AFM) with an aid of a WB probe ..

And this engine ran really well , an mate of mine who test drove it said it's kinda like low press turbocharger engine but without turbo lag ! much more torque and pulling stronger in each gear to the limiter .. full blast chasing 1.9 mi16 conversion 205 was no problem at all on twisty B roads , but on a motorway the 16v did it's job better than the 8v .

Soon will start pulling the Jetronic system off and installing Motronic Mp3.1

As you have Motronic 1.3 management installed , you have already eliminate one crappy ignition item which is mechanical distributor , next on the list is the AFM but then you need to switch to MAP and that's new loom and ECU .

It's already serious, I thought I'd do it myself, but from the D6B I only have pistons nothing else :(
It's hard to find a D6B engine in our head.
 The 16v is faster than I am after 160 km / h

You have pistons? Then look for any 1.9 8v engine.
The crank and rods are nothing special on a 8v so you don't need to pay the premium for a GTI engine, you can also use a 88mm XU/DW crank.

Me too , thinks 1.9 base would be better than 1.6 .

If you can find 1.9 DFZ engine , use crank and pistons and you'll have high compression bottom end with bonus increased squish clearance .. 1.9 DFZ pistons are old rally mod , cheap and effective !

With this engine which you have now , maybe skim the head to up the compression to 11.1 , fit an adjustable cam pulley (TU5D cam pulley can be used as an cheap option) and time up the cam in relation to crank to compensate for the head skim . And see what happens , 98-100RON fuel will be must though .

Not sure but i think you can add cnock sensor on a Motronic 1.3 management too ..

The XU9J4 with Motronic ML1.3 use a knock sensor but there is also a daughterboard inside the ECU so the extra hardware is probably used for that.

If you know someone who can remap it try to use the MP3.2 ECU and loom from your old XU10J2TE. I think this loom could also be modified to suit the ML1.3 if needed.
