1.9 discs with 1.6 calipers if you are not using the XS/GT wheels.

Euro Rallye runs the 1.6 gti discs and calipers. Fitting the 1.9 discs on would give you no advantage it would just reduce the track. I run my EuroRallye with standard 1.6 calipers and either Tarox or standard genuine 1.6 discs with Carbon Loraine RC5 pads, absolutely mega set up, adds nothing to the unsprung weight and works very well from cold up to daft temperatures. Only downside is the nasty horrible residue of chewed up discs the pads leave on the wheels plus some squeal. Stick with drums on the back, much better than discs, especially if you use the handbrake as they really lock up the rear wheels with standard brake shoes.

The 1.9 discs are used with the regulars or 1.9 hubs.

Peugeot Talbot Sport made 13" wheels for the early 1.6 GTI so you can probably fit the 4 pot AP racing historic calipers, on the rear use Citroën Visa front alloy calipers.

EuroRallye definitely has standard 1.6 gti discs not 1.9 discs.

Don't know only ever used the Carbon Loraine and Pagid RS "Blue" and the CL's seem better to me, but they chomp through discs. Much cheaper than 4 pot callipers which are overkill on wee 1300's.

The EuroRallye and 1.6 Gti have the same discs and Bendix calipers. In terms of cost, the pads are expensive but they are a bargain compared with the cost of 4 pot calipers, new m/c etc which more often than not are bought because they are "bling".
