Hi just wondering if any1 can help ?

Im in the middle of cleaning up my steering rack and replacing all the inner tie rots and boots . But im stuck on the nut posted in the pic? Ive got the inners of but does this nut clamp come of so i can put a new boot on? The bolt thats on the end of the rack

You have to pull the whole rack out, put the boot on, and then slide it back in. Take the pinion out first (the bit the steering column clamps onto), and the sprung plate below it, held on by 2 bolts
