Brake calliper Paint/colour

My calipers need brightening up and wondered if anyone knows what the original finish is on a 1990 1.9 GTi? I’m guessing a Matt black or silver but I’m sure someone will know for sure.

I think but I’m not 100% sure, the fronts were originally the kind of anodised goldy colour, and oddly the backs were silver.

 

if you look through the sales brochures on the French 205GTi club website you maybe see some pics.

they would have been silver or yellow zinc passivated, have a feeling a lot of the chemicals previously used for the yellow have been prohibited so probably would have been yellow
