Moving a car without suspension

Recommended Posts

What's the easiest way to approach this? Looking at a shell with no rear axle or front suspension.

Guessing the answer is put suspension back on it....

There were drawings for a simple jig on the forum at one point which picked up on the suspension/subframe mouting points.

That's my plan for when my shell (one day) gets to the paint stage.

Or something along the lines of mk2 Mania's shell mover kit.

I bought their roll over jig which I put casters on to, to allow me to move it around.

Buy 4 big castors from Toolstation/Screwfix and mount them on a purpose made rectangular wooden frame - 4 by 2 timber might be enough . I have made smaller versions of this , great for wheeling engines and gearboxes about .

Either a purpose made frame as noted above or a pallet with 4 castors fixed to the underside.
