Recommended Posts

Does anyone have an opinion on what the best type of performance air filter is?

Pipercross Foam filters v's K&N's paper filters?

TIA

not seen any paper filters to fit over throttle bodies so I would say foam ones are best :D

K&N are cotton btw.

Cheers WP, Yeah cotton.

Pipercross say theirs is 30% less restrictive over standard, but i can't find what K&N say.

Both re-usable, but Pipercross quite a bit cheaper.

Pipercross it is.

if its a stock oem airbox the proper original filter was a foam one, fram used to make a replacement too.

My understanding is foam is better for power, cotton more durable.

ITG make a reusable foam filter for the standard air box.
