Does anyone know where to get a new dipstick for the XU9J4?

They seem to be NFP and mine is broken.

I have 2 or 3 tucked away (alloy block)

A cheap solution is to cut an 8 valve one down

That would be an idea. So 1.9 8v dipstick then as a start?

Yes, would keep costs down

As the alloy block dipsticks command good money

As above, I've just used a remarked 8v dipstick.

Thanks guys. Ordered a 8v one. Does it need to be cut down much so that the oil level will be in the "twisted" area of the stick?

If so maybe better to cut it close to the top an weld it there?

I haven't done one for years but IIRC the oil level doesn't end up on the twisted part. You just need to cut the excess off and then cut the two notches in it.
