Saab 93 Suspension Help.

Recommended Posts

jeremy

One of the rear springs has gone on my wife's Saab 93 estate on a 56 plate. Firstly it's not something I have done before but it generally looked fairly easy on UTube, so happy to give it a try, however any advice greatly appreciated.

Secondly should they be done as a pair or is it ok to do them singly.

If it were mine id change the pair, the rest I can't help with but if they are both the originals to the best of your knowledge do them both.

Oh joy double the cost and twice the effin and blindin lol!

Managed to get the broken one out in about 10 minutes, although in my experience that is the easy bit.

Thanks all the same.

It's common place to just replace one spring / shock nowadays but last time I swapped a snapped spring on my mum's 206, I still did them as a pair.

Ive always done them as pairs, so you know both springs behave the same and in balance

I'd also say replace active suspension components in pairs, the same as braking components really.
