Tu5J4 Stops Pulling After 4500Rpm

Recommended Posts

As in the title, under light load it'll pull up to around 6 then start hesitating and coughing, under heavy load it gets to 4 and a half and just coughs and splutters.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I've replaced the MAP Sensor, coil pack, spark plugs, had a spare set of injectors so tried them as well, it did work a bit better but it's just gone back to running like a bag of spanners again, doesn't even come on cam anymore.

We checked that, it's on a permanent live? Reading still changes when you move it's position.

And no it hasn't.

It's a Single Plug ECU if that's any help

Id get the obd wiring reinstated and see what data you get, its not many wires even though its a 16 pin plug

I will look into it. Just been out for a spin. Now only going up to 6000 just revving on it's own. No load on it

As already said reading codes is vital, however it sounds like it's struggling when fuel demand is highest so it might be the fuel pump failing.

I'll have a play with the wiring and get one in somehow.

As for the fuel pump I have thought it may be one of the culprits.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151140747189

Seems to be alright for the money?

I'd get a standard pump, more than enough even for the highest power na tu you can think of.
