Oecist 2 Posted April 18, 2017 (edited) I have some mystery wires sticking out of the bulkhead after a rebuild......it's been a while and I can't for the life of me remember where they go - or if they were ever connected. The AC is missing, so it's possible that they are from that? They all emanate from the main low wiring loom from behind the dash cluster (RHD) Ideas? soundguy 13 Posted April 18, 2017 Re the last one, have you checked the SAD under the distributor? The first two single spades, maybe they're supposed to be on the other side of the bulkhead, ie, inside? The one with the yellow tie wrap, is that the ignition amp connector - has a wire restraint/clip, and is in the right area of the engine bay.
soundguy 13 Posted April 18, 2017 (edited) Can you do me a favour, what have you got under your scuttle panel? Is it: Wiper assembly + connector Wiper wash tubing Large seal around fresh/cold air for cabin Anything else? (I'm about to refit mine, wondering what I've forgotten) Edited April 18, 2017 by soundguy

Thanks, #3 is Green - I have the SAD (Blue - as per my build photos) already connected and in any case it's a short ~200mm lead, the spades have 'heat hardened' plastic on the lead, so it appears that they have been there for a while. I'll check the ignition amp connector!

soundguy 13 Posted April 18, 2017 (edited) Does one of those black spade connectors not go on your strut top mount? ps thanks for scuttle panel info Edited April 18, 2017 by soundguy

I'll check the ignition amp connector! Sad is usually black, the ECU temperature sender is blue. Both two-wire plugs in the same area
Ryan 99 Posted April 19, 2017 #2 is the plug for some kind of electronic module that fits near the top of the strut. I don't know if it's something to do with the air conditioning or something else. The only pic I could fit was this one (partly hidden behind the bonnet support)
Oecist 2 Posted June 17, 2017 Very very slow reply! I've got a young baby, and the combination with work means the ol' brain is a little fried at present - working on the little beast today! Thanks for this it's made one of the problems go away - I know that the AC has been removed - I shall assume the other is also AC.
