Temperature Gauge Waving Backwards/forwards

Hello, a strange thing is happening when the engine is warm the temperature gauge waves up and down and when the clutch is pressed it will waver. Anybody else had this problem? It seems to only do it when the engine is warm. Maybe a faulty sensor?

dodgy wiring somewhere, probably the loom catching on stuff or a bad earth.

Check the connections on the brown multiplug.

I have found the problem. The spade clip on the sensor itsself was loose and wobberly so I'm thinking the engine vibration is making the contact move. So abit of soldering and managed to solder it. It's still ain't wobberly but a bodge for now to get me going. New sensor I think. Thanks for your help.
