..on Gumtree?

I was second in-line to view / buy this on Sunday, but someone else had first refusal. Seemed like a great base for an easy resto, and 'cheap' too;

Description

Peugeot 205 GTi 1.6 1988 Silver been in clean dry storage since 2001, 54000 miles, in fantastic original condition. Body panels, paint, glass and interior superb. I've owned this car since 1991, non-smoking owners (2) from new. Was mechanically A1 when put into storage, previously Peugeot dealer serviced and authentic replacement parts since new. Untouched since removing from storage, I haven't tested or attempted to reconnect or restart.

Before storage this car was a fine example, very nicely balanced handling and fluid responsive engine.

Would suit a restoration project. Complete and original except missing front sunroof trim and rear washer nozzle. I am selling this as seen for spares or repairs, since it is untested without MOT, and I think best to do preparation before attempting to start which I haven't done. It rolls, and is currently covered on my drive in Oxford. Buyer to make own arrangements to collect. It is SORNed. Mileage verifiable from old MOT certificates.

It is probably as genuine a 1988 Peugeot 205 GTi as you will find, and in fantastic condition ready for what should be minimal restoration.

I'm moving house, and need to sell promptly so priced accordingly.

Looks like a nice genuine car, and very low miles. Hopefully gone to an enthusiast. What was the asking price?

I didn't put the price initially just in case someone here had bought it to flip, but as no one's come forward it was up for £2,150.

Keep an eye on the auctions..!
