Tu3S Oil Pump

Recommended Posts

tdr_1976

I've been carrying out a rebuild on my TU3S engine, and I'm sorting out all my parts to start reassembling it over the next few days.

Today, whilst moving the old oil pump I noticed a circle on the sprocket, this has got me thinking that it's some kind of mark for setting it up with the crankshaft, am I right in thinking this? Or is it just something I don't need to take notice of?

I've had a look in the Haynes manual, but it doesn't mention marking it up with the crankshaft.

I don't want to rebuild my engine and fit it incorrectly.

I've attached a photo below to show what I mean.

Many thanks for any info on this :)

You are overthinking it buddy. Doesn't matter where the pump is.
