Phil Gti 10 Posted May 31, 2015 As the title suggests, I am now ready to buy my wheels and tyres ready for the full re spray of my 205. I would like to know which 16" alloy wheels require little or no modification to fit on a 205 that has been lowered 40mm. What width and offset including tyre sizes too. And suggestions/links for wheels/tyres and suppliers. Cheers

Goliath 94 Posted May 31, 2015 What about 406 Coupe 16" starfish wheels? I think they look quite smart with a degree of 'stock' look about them.
Phil Gti 10 Posted May 31, 2015 Not so keen on the 406 wheels . Anything deep dish is cool

Phil Gti 10 Posted June 1, 2015 I have only driven 205's with 15's. As far as I was concerned it was 15's for go and 17's for show. I think proportionality 16's suit the size of wheel arch and car best. I was led to believe they didn't have a negative effect on acceleration or handling like 17's do. The flat 5 spoke wheels are very nice, also keen on deep dish multi spoke designs, even though they are a pain to keep clean
rallyeash 155 Posted June 1, 2015 16's will be crap, they look to big on a 205 to start with. Stick with 15's.
Phil Gti 10 Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) I bet you wouldn't say that about a set of genuine 16" Dimma split rims There are some very good original condition 205's out there, I want mine to be a little different. Keep the suggestions coming, thanks Edited June 3, 2015 by Phil Gti
Phil Gti 10 Posted June 18, 2015 I still haven't found a set of wheels for my 205 yet, pls keep the suggestions coming. Cheers
