Your Thoughts, 205 Rallye Euro Or Uk Spec

Hi all

 

I'm just about to start rejuvenating my 205 Rallye, it's very tired and tatty.

 

I'm not too worried about the engine/power at the moment (standard 1.4)

 

Will be renewing brakes and suspension.

 

It will need new wings ( and a bit of welding) anyway, but do I leave it fairly standard looking UK (will lower it slightly and probably go for something like the 106 Rallye steel wheels) or do I go down the Euro spec look with the added arch extensions, I'm leaning towards this look at the moment.

 

I would be very interested in your thoughts.

 

Also any suggestions for a body shop in the Surrey area that won't cost me an arm and a leg?

 

I know it's not a GTI, I've owned three 1.9's, but do enjoy this car anyway

Just make it how you want it, it can always be put back to standard

I'd keep it looking UK spec with s2 steel wheels, 206gti brakes and some bilsteins.

Real Rallyes have alloy engines and the steering wheel on the wrong side

Fake ones have iron blocks and three times the HP. Hehe well some of them do.

I prefer the look of the UK one but love the engine in the euro spec
