205 Gti And 309 Fuel Tank The Same?

I need a gti tank for my 309, does the 205 and 309 share the same tank?

I'm not sure but I've got a 205 tank you can have for free if you need it.

It's got the pump I bought from the red 205 you broke years ago in still.

 

It's got one broken bolt that holds the pump in but should be easy enough to remove out of the car.

a 205 tank will fit in a 309 but not the other way round as the 309 tank is bigger. Only discovered this when getting a tank guard for a 309 rally car, only to find it had been fitted with a 205 tank!

Ok cool. Just doesn't seem easy to find a 309 tank for sale. Never thought a 205 tank was too small in a 205.

they are different ash, the fuel pump setup is also different but the acctual pump itself is the same.

309's have a handy drain plug too, well if you can call it a good idea these days, Pumps are different as well
