205 Cti - How Was It Strengthened?

hello.

I'm a little curious as to how Peugeot strengthened the floor / sills on the convertible. Could someone shed some light on this for me please?

just bigger section sills afaik,, theyre about twice the size!

Think the floor may be a bit stiffer/thicker too (on my CJ)

I think I have some pictures from my French 205 manual somewhere that shows the differences and strengthening applied to the soft tops. I'll see if I can dig it out.

There was quite a bit of bracing in the rear quarters onto the wheel arch as can be seen in the attached where it has been cut away. I was never convinced that they strengthend the A pillars though!

Found it. Excuse the quality, I snapped a shot with my phone instead of scanning as I'm lazy...

 

Diagram shows a tube inserted into A-pillars, probably Boron or high strength steel.
