erbs 42 1 Cars Posted October 25, 2014 seen rusty driving lights but this is ridiculous Siem glass is OK, just need to know what my options are for the reflective part
acox99 71 1 Cars Posted October 25, 2014 Cheapest way out is to buy a set of denji lights (they sell them on the home page) use the siem backings and glass if you want or if not put the siem glass to one side and use the complete denji units.
erbs 42 1 Cars Posted October 25, 2014 (edited) are the denji backs any good? was thinking of doing this but wasn't too sure of the outcome can't see em on the homepage Edited October 25, 2014 by erbs
AlexRS2782 136 1 Cars Posted October 25, 2014 More rust on those than some classic Ford's :hehe:
tartanbloke 35 1 Cars Posted October 26, 2014 Also, 2pugs does really good surrounds that you need.
welshpug 1,626 Posted October 26, 2014 wait for stew baker to finish his aluminium reflectors and rebuild them with the original backings and glass, the denji backings don't fit, the surrounds rot even faster, and the glass is the wrong pattern.
erbs 42 1 Cars Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) is stew baker close to finishing these? managed to soak them in hot water and bleach and a good scrub and they look a lot better now Edited October 26, 2014 by erbs
erbs 42 1 Cars Posted October 26, 2014 ally should last for years if that is the case, never need to replace again
lagonda 41 Posted November 12, 2014 Got a full service history with my 1989 CTi when I bought it in 2003. In the intervening period, it had had 6 yes SIX replacement sets of driving lights...and those fitted were pretty rusty in 2003. They're worse now than the ones shown here....and I refuse to replace them on principle. The cynical manufacturers of such cr*p should be embarrassed.
