The ML5T became the ML5C in about 2002 / 2003. There are some slight changes around the clutch actuation and some internal differences (Lift up reverse on the ML5C). To all intent and purposes they are the same box. However, I'm not sure if these were used on anything outside of the 2.0 / 2.2 HDi's and the 3.0 V6, so not sure about bellhousing patterns.

they were also used on the XU10J2TE 2.0 turbo petrol engines. and even on the V6 you can swap the bell housing over from the diesels to fit the XU10's
