I know sumps have a reputation for oil leaks, I have resealed it more than once using the advice on here (Cleanliness and RTV) but a leak keeps reappearing on the back of the engine flywheel end

At the last reseal checked the joint dry between the sump pan and block and could not a 10 thou feeler gauge in the gap.

Just wondered if the leak can be coming from elsewhere, I have just fixed a leak from the distributor O ring.but oil is reappearing

No oil showing from the small plate at the bottom of the flywheel where I would expect some oil if the flywheel seal has gone

Could the crankcase be pressurizing pushing the oil out and if so how and why?

Any suggestions greatly received.

had another look tonight and don't think its the sump

Oil (Engine as it does not smell like gearbox oil) seems to be seeping from the rubber cap at the bottom of the gearbox, not sure how that gets there.

Any suggestions as I don't fancy taking the gearbox off without good reason?
