Unknown Wires Under The Steering Column

Hey, just took the steering column shroud off in preparation for replacing the heater matrix and when I did I noticed this plug hanging down. Can anyone identify it for me as I have no clue?

 

Apologies for the blurriness, the wires and plastic plug are all yellow.

Nevermind...found that they're unused if you have no alarm?

Wires for choke on base model carb 205's. Not used on GTI

Cheers Tom. Did see they weren't used but wasn't sure why...should've guess if they reach the back of where the choke lever blank is.
