Put it on a shelf in the garage with the rest of the fueling associated parts.

So I don't need to run the car with the ecu??

The 205 GTI ECU only controls fuelling, not ignition, so you wont need it at all. The one exception is the rev limiter which is set in the ECU, if you wire the distributor up without the ECU you'll need a rev limiter of some sort (or just be careful to not over-rev it!)

Okay cheers for the info I'll look into the limiter. Do I need to get a fuel regulator?

Yes you will, exactly what depends on how you're pumping the fuel though

Think I'll get a facet pump for that.

im using a bike fuel pump for conversion. spoke to a bike mechanic and he says there designed to control the fuel pumping up by using the pressure in the pipes, as such, meaning the carbs will be getting the correct fuel all the time. as they require 3 psi. also bogg brothers say its a cheap way to do it as there easy to find and as there small, easy to fit.

i didnt know about the ecu, thanks for that info.
