Intake Filter Air Hose

I have a 93 Phase 2 1.9. and am renovating the airfilter box.

 

On removing the air hoses to the airflow meter I found the right-angle one to the AFM was split. Looking on service box shows part number 1424.A4.

 

Looking up on line I see it has a blue connector - (just as the ServiceBox diagram shows). Mine doesn't have this blue plug. Any ideas what is its, or indeed what part I need to order instead.

 

Or can I just order this and blank it off somehow?

Yours probably has a metal one instead.

Mei - nope, had a look again today and my hose has no sockets (either metal of plastic) just plain rubber all the way! There seem to be some mouldings which might suggest that the plug could be inserted - maybe that photo is misleading and the plug is for extra equipment, service box hints at this...

 

Anyone have any ideas if it will be okay to use part 1424.A4. I don't want to order a £35 part to find I cant use it...

You're looking at the wrong hose then, the one from the airbox to the AFM, not the AFM to Throttle body.

No - I have the right part I reckon. The blue plug needs a blanking cap for older models. The parts are 1424.A4 and Blank 1210.03

I have a full set of new pipes and they come with a blanking plug.

Bought this part loads.

 

Order the hose and the blank to block the outlet off if needed.

 

1424 A4 says + the blank plug and hose clamp.
