Diagnostic Socket

Dizzee stuff

I am just fitting a diagnostic socket and have wired it as follows; wire 141 to pin 15 of socket, wire 140 to pin 7 of socket, wire 4260(tacho feed) to pin 3 of socket.

Now my question is will I need a live supply and earth to the socket to power up any scanning device or will it work as wired above ??

This link is to my thread http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=147586 its for a 2.0 turbo though

Its near the bottom the pins i used

Very helpful the only difference I can see is my K line wire's run from different pins on the ECU. pin 31 ECU > pin 7 on the plug & pin 12 ECU > pin 15 on the plug. I Carn't really see any problem's as long as the diag plug is wired correctly.
