No, carbs need a low pressure fuel pump.

Mine basically runs the injection pump, the oe lines make a loop with the filter on then 'T' off into two adjustable regulators to get it down to 2psi

It works and is simple

Yes a std injection pump is fine, and in fact a whole lot more reliable. You dont need the 2 regulators, you simply need a turbo regulator which can bring the pressure down low enough. This is the one http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/fuel-pressure-regulators/malpassi-fuel-pressure-regulator-for-turbo-carburettor You simply come off the std filter into the reg then out of the reg into the carbs and put your return on the bottom of the reg.

Dunno, it says 60psi down to 5psi everywhere I have looked says you need 2psi

Infect mine runs the filter king version of the above pump in the injection circuit then another filterking regulator with filter after that

What sort of power gains would 45's get on an otherwise standard 1.6 / 1.9?

Mines on 45 dellorto's running a filter king with standard injection pump, just perfect. I really like 45's having had them on all sorts over the years, I always run about 2.5 - 3 psi.
