Popping Out Of First Gear On Rally Car.

Was out on my first stage rally in the yellow 205 rally car i bought at the begining of the year!

 

Went to Caerwent in Wales which has lots of 90 rights and 90 lefts and a few hairpins so was using first quite alot and if i didnt hold it in till i got abit of load on it would pop out of first, all other gears seemeed to be fine,

 

It does have the rose jointed linkage and seems ok could this be something in the box or more likely to be linkage?

 

Many thanks already, its a Mi16 car how do you ID what model box it is? Its only geared to about 110 will hit the limiter a couple of times in 5th at 8k on 15inch wheels.
