309 Question - Can I Fit The Front Bumper Without The Big Support?

Posting on here as there seems to be an issue on the 309 forum and I can't post or send messages for some reason.

 

Is it possible to fit the front bumper without the big heavy support bar behind it?

 

I gues some spacers etc may need to be made?

 

It's a track car so won't spend much time I'm the road so I'm thinking the weight saving might be a benefit.

It weighs sod all and gives the bumper most of its shape, and it is fixed to it, unless someone has bolted a girder in there I'd leave it

Ah ok.

 

I've not removed the bumper yet but assumed it was a hefty item
