What are you using it for?

 

A reasonable 10W40 semi will be fine for predominently road use, but regular trackday usage you'll likely want something more performance oriented.

on my 306, i'm using castrol edge 10w60, 3000kms and it's still the same color, not sure to worry or not

on motorway speeds keeps the pressure steady at 6bar, i guess it's fine

I'm using 5w50 fully synth in mine,alot less moisture/oil etc in the oil separator than when using 10w40 semi-synth

I always used Gulf competition 5w 40 ester based fully synthetic oil from Opie oils never had any issues and the oil level was always the same.

Thanks guys. I went for 10-40w.

The tapping of the engine has reduced quite a bit which is nice.

God knows what the oil was in there before, the filter was starting to rust as well which probably means its been in there a while!
