Mi16 Xu9J4 Piston Rings

Been looking for some piston rings for my mi16. Been told the 8v rings will fit. Is this right? If not where can I get some from been quoted mi16 ones for 150. 8v ones are £50.

If i remember correct the oil control rings are diffrent sized. try unipart for gotez rings i payed about 80.00 or try enginestuff.co.uk list them 47.00

most cheap rings you'll find need gapping, the Geotiz one's generally fit without any issue's at all, just measure the ring depth's thou to get the right set

May I Ask if the rods are the same with MI16 & 8V ?

So got to the service box , apparently this is what I found :

So they are not the same!

8v has a wider big end. 16v is full floating.

Got myself a Mi16 engine , but missing 2 connecting rods , hope to manage to find for it.
