Tom Fenton 1,526 Posted January 9, 2013 No problem painting over with 2 pack. 1k and 2k basically relate to how it dries. 1k dries through solvent evaporation. 2k dries by chemical reaction (and also solvent evap.) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
NFS 32 Posted January 9, 2013 1k is normally found in rattle cans. You will be fine to use a rattle can primer then paint over with 2k high build primer. The only thing I found is of you paint 2k base coat directly over 1k (rattle can) lacquer it can easy cause solvent attack a sort of wrinkly texture Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
