Peugeot 205/309 engine swaps. Which engines have been successfully done??

 

I should think all of the XU engines have been transferred over, I have heard of big torque HDI engines going in, a big power supra engine, Cosworth, C20let, any others? & for bonus points what transmissions did they use?

Honda B, H and K series. There was also someone on here years ago that started an F20 RWD conversion but don't think it was finished.

There have been several XE RWD conversions rallied, typically on a type 9 box and 4/5 linked Ford axle as per mk1/2/3 Escorts.

 

I also know of a 4AGE engine and box with Sunbeam 5 linked rear end, another rally car.

 

The Constella 4G63 Mitsubishi engine is on a focus box.

 

XUD11, DW10 and DW12, usually BE boxes afaik.

 

ES9's would use an ML box, though I have seen one with a BE box.

 

Couple of TU5J4's out there, the better ones on BE gearbox of some form, there's also Sandy's TU3J4.

There are clips of the twin V6 on the Tube. Wide arch bodyshell and spaceframed. Looks quite the tool.

I have seen pictures of a midmounted subaru engined 205 buggy, I can't remember all the details but believe there is evidence of that particular vehicle on these pages somewhere..
