charlesV6 0 Posted December 11, 2012 well this project was nearly over before it started, the car was stolen the same night i bought it.luckily managed to find the car abit some damage.so if any one local to newcastle has a spare steering collum and lockset they would like to sell please let me no. This will be my second attempt at a 205 v6 turbo, first time round could not get it running properly. I seen a cheap 205 for sale. ,so i thought would give it another go, as the 1.9 engine just doesnt have enough grunt when your used to v6 power in a 205 . here is a pic of my old turbo v6.will add more pics later of my old turbo and of my new project. jamie_1992 66 1 Cars Posted December 11, 2012 why stop at one turbo? will it not be very front end heavy?
custard-rallye 25 Posted December 11, 2012 Surely adding a turbo won't affect handling that much can't add that much more weight
charlesV6 0 Posted December 11, 2012 yes front end is heavy but still handles good. as you will see in pics there is only enough room for one turbo and had to put it were battery goes. heres a few pics of old turbo and my 306 v6
custard-rallye 25 Posted December 11, 2012 Was it fast? Did you get a rr print?
NFS 32 Posted December 11, 2012 I saw this for sale on eBay ages ago. What made you sell it and start another one?
charlesV6 0 Posted December 12, 2012 not as fast as it should of been, was down on power, felt like exhaust was blocked as when it was getting into higher revs it felt flat . sold it cause a just lost interest in it ,got sick of fixin it basically

wicked 103 3 Cars Posted December 12, 2012 (edited) The 406 coupe rims look good on the 306!! To keep a V6 on boost, you need a serious turbo (or 2). What spec turbo did you use? Looks like KKK from an Audi. Imho a 306 suits the V6 better than the 205, but impressive that you just build it with a turbo! Tbh I'm not really a fan of external IC's. No space to use a chargecooler? Edited December 12, 2012 by wicked

johniban 59 1 Cars Posted December 17, 2012 Are you running the single turbo off just one exhaust bank? maybe why it was running poor
Anton green 12 1 Cars Posted December 19, 2012 Nice project, I enjoy a healthy engine swap. Are you lowering the compression ratio or other internal work to do these conversions, and how are you correcting the fueling??
