Standard fitment is 185 width, so 205 is likely too wide for the speedlines.

Just get 195/50/15 or 185/55/15 if you have some extra money burning a hole in your pocket :P.

205 wont be too wide for the wheel, but is too wide for the car.

Seeing as youre intent on using the "wrong" size then you can't go far wrong a pe2 in a 50 is about £55, far superior to a toyo or a yoko road tyre.

185/55/15 is best but always seems to be expensive tyre profile with not so much brands making this dimension ..

So id go for 195/50/15 if the budget is lower , though , by all means having a good quality tyre is really a must so choose wisely :)

Track tyre really. I run them solely on my 205 bit it does about 500 road miles a year.

I'd go 195 50 15 but not Toyo T1R's

ok think il go 195/50/15 but what is a good grippy tyre for the road currently has pirelli p6000 and it just spinns up when you pull away (gti6 power) and i cant afford a new diff yet

Learning to moderate your right foot is free...

Certainly I would avoid budget tyres like the plague (the fact you listed prices suggests you're considering them!) as they'll make even P6000's seem awe-inspiring by comparison - and that's coming from someone that's managed to keep shiny side up all year on a set of P6000's so I'm well aware of their limitations!

Michelin PE2's are excellent if a touch pricey, Falken 912's are pretty good, as are Hankook S1 Evo's. They would be the three that I would choose from, although Toyo T1-R's aren't bad in fairness - currently have them on my 306 and have run them on 205's before now.

As found out today, there are ZE914's too! They seem best bang for buck and will be fitted to my car when next required.
