Xsara Vts Be3 Gearbox Speedo Drive Housing Torque

Hi,

thanks to welshpug's handy part number post I will be replacing the white speedo cog so I get a more accurate reading of speed.

Does anyone know the speedo drive housing torque? Apparently the endfloat is 0.08mm +/-0.04?

It's a tran-x plate diff if that makes any difference?

Speedo pinion housing; 9lbft

Final drive extension housing bolts 11lbft

 

The diagram in my haynes calls it the final drive extension housing.

Thanks. Just to clarify: no shim in housing = no endfloat check?

my haynes says +0.1mm preload, but I believe if there is no spacer then you don't worry about it, drop Miles a line if your'e not sure.
