ok will look for 2nd hand regulator though as £160 to downgrade how my windows go up and down is a bit much.

as far as am aware 3 and 5 door regs are diff so need be a 3 door reg if you have 3 door i strongly advise getting a new reg where you can as other regs are at that age now so could be a case of buy cheap buy twice

because i have carbon fibre door cards to go on and the holes are all there for windy windows and don't want to chop them up for pockets and switches

Anthony

I think the point Welshy was making was that depending where the door bars are, you might not be able to use the winder handles - not such an issue if it's a new cage as you can position the door bar appropriately usually, but if it's a used one you're refitting you might have a problem.

Another option (that I would personally do) is to just relocate the electric window switches to the center console somewhere - easy enough to do, particularly on the pre-Phase 2 cars. Just extend the wires as required.

Yes, Anthony hit the nail on the head, a few cars I service for still have their leccy windows as it would be impossible to wind them due to the door bars, I don't know if this would be the case with the OMP, certainly seems to be with most SD and CC items.
