it doesnt have to go to the intake pipe, but it certainly shouldnt be blanked off!!! :lol:

 

please dont put carbs on it.

Why don't u like carbs? I Dnt have funds for boddies n management :( but hav a mi16 engine here and also carbs it jst seams that will be less that can go wrong, iv had a lot of wireing problems so far

Rite wen I unblock than breather pipe the engine dies,also runs with the idel control valve disconnected ? I took the valve off cleaned it with wd40 and no change :(

Not liking that plug. Also, that bolt should NOT be there.

 

My advice. Remove battery connection. Remove icv. Pres plunger inside in with a drift. Re connect, wait 30 mins for ecu to reset. Plug it all back together and re connect battery.

also make sure breather connections on the front of the throttle body are blanked off properly as the hose is missing.

Also, are you sure the plugs on the coolant ramp sensor are correct? (The ones that you have crimp connectors on?)

 

And, what's that unconnected plug that you can see next to the top hose directly under the throttle cable??

yes the pipe you can see at bottom of picture at front of throttle body is blanked off

where is the coolant temp sender located? not sure what that unconected plug is,can;'t see any where it should connect to

The bolt in the icv pipe should definitely NOT be in there. Take that out and all should be ok

If the ECU reset doesn't 'wake up' your idle valve, then it may not be getting power. I'm sure a few of these conversions have encountered the same problem. I can't tell you what the fix is, but it has been covered here before.

I cannot see how that can be the case Huw as all 4 wires are direct connections to the ecu and no other components, power source or earth.
