Recommended Posts

As i've been a clumsy farm boy and crushed the speedo cog, I need to get a new one.

I've been presented by 2 different cog sizes on service box

19t or 22t cog?

Thanks

Paul

My thinking was that the box was off a 1.6, and i'm running 1.9 sized wheels

So I guess the 22t

As richie said! I might have a pic of the right ones on my photobucket somewhere, will post shortly....

Servicebox will give you a rough price, only a few quid iirc

doh, it was the other cogs I had a pic of.

they are colour coded though, the large 22T one is black, 19T white as you have in your hand.

you need to use whatever the car had originally, as you have different speedo heads and tyre sizes, doesn't matter which engine you use.

All 1.9's use the red cog, Never seen a black one other than a 405 etc

The difference in speedo reading between a 185/60R14 (1.6 standard size) and 195/50R15 tyre is only 0.3% anyway.
