Crank Shaft Oil Seal, Drain Engine Oil?

hi just a quick one. im about to change the crankshaft oil seal (flywheel side) and was wondering if you have to drain the engine oil first? im guessing not, but that's just a guess and i dont want to make a mess of the drive. so can someone just confirm this for me, thanks. matt.

no need to drain the oil, it sits in the sump
