Hi all, As written in the header.

Need some help here. Has anyone any ideas. We can´t find any faults on the car but it (again) won't start. There is no contact to the ECU via our tester. This will be the third ECU we'll be replacing on our customers car. Each one only "lasts" about three months.

Wiring checks out - no shorts or poor connections. Any and all components that have a direct connection to the ecu have been checked for faults - none found. Odd thing is, when we fit a brand new from the factory ecu, then engine turns over straight away and runs like a top. And if we refit the old one - zip - nothing - nada! It won't start and we can't connect to the ecu via our tester.

Being at a Pug garage, we've tried everything we know. Even had it running with a breakout box fitted - all measurements again checked out. The Peugeot "helpdesk" is no help at all, and Magneti Marelli doesn't respond to our questions. We've also got a hold of a danish ecu "boffin", who sent it to a "lab" in Holland and it came back with an apology that precisely this ecu couldn't be tested by them............ yeah right.

I know this ins't a mi16, but does any one have a bright ideas?

Thanx!
