Cluch Adjustment

Can anyone tell me the correct way to adjust the clutch (89 405 Mi16x4)?

 

I loosened the adjusters at the gearbox end today while I was replacing the the plastic cable clip at the pedal end (nasty nasty job!!).

 

I've set the adjusters to take almost all of the freeplay out of the cable but the pedal seems to be sitting a little too high. And the pdf I have of the manual doesn't include the chapter on the clutch...

clutch pedal travel should be 145mm, depress the pedal a dozen times or so to make sure its seated properly then hold a ruler @ 45 degrees to the floor, adjust accordingly.
