Erasing Fault Codes On Mi16

Recommended Posts

Bluegalaxy1056

Hi there,

Does anyone know how to erase the fault codes on 1991 mi16 1.9. I have got fault code 44 (knock sensor) coming up. Have serviced the car, fixed a vacum leak, dissy cap, set the air/fuel ratio correctly and also chaged knock sensor but need to erase the code to see if it has fixed the problem.

Anyone got any ideas

Cheers

well you could say that it is the correct way.

it's not like the codes won't come back if errors are still present :).

Set "Ground" for the pin2 of diagnostic connector for 15 seconds

that erases error. but they will come back if its permanent error which occurs again

you can check it and see what error it gives. its easy.
